The indifference, callousness and contempt that so many people exhibit toward animals is evil first because it results in great suffering in animals, and second because it results in an incalculably great impoverishment of the human spirit. All education should be directed toward the refinement of the individual’s sensibilities in relation not only to one’s fellow humans everywhere, but to all things whatsoever.

HOW WE FULFILLED OUR MISSION WITH THE RESOURCES WE WERE GIVEN

2011 was our first full year of operation. Although we are still in our infancy we helped low income neighbors continue to care for their beloved pets without having to surrender them, by providing pet food and pet supplies. Additionally we assisted over fifty ( 50 ) non-profit organizations around the US, to fulfill their mission by providing monetary and non monetary donations of pet food, face value pet food coupons and or pet supplies.

Corporate Good, Works!

Corporate America embraced our goal of bringing a diverse voice to animal advocacy.

Animal Imagery Magazine

In 2011 we began development of the first magazine in the country dedicated to educating, celebrating and exploring the diverse array of animal imagery which has coincided with our human development, culture and expectation for a sustainable future.  Animal Imagery Magazine participants are small business owners, non profit organizations, for profit organizations, educators, artists, media and international consultants who believe in our unique vision for animal wefare and its relevance to a civil, cultured, compassionate society.

The Walk for Whiskers 2011

Despite the predictions of freezing rain for February 26, 2011, Mother Nature cooperated and provided a brilliant, sun filled, cloudless ( albeit very cold ) day in which to broaDcast our message: Help Kids, Help Pets-Stay Together! ZZa's Trattoria came to the rescue (without hesitation )  by providing a luncheon venue across from the pavilion for our guests. Our first community out reach event was small but we did give away all of the donated food and supplies to local community organizations in the SF Bay Area - enabling them to save money and feed animals and people and or give small gifts to those women and children in family shelters who otherwise may have gone without.  NBC's Weather Lady Christina Loren, and The Oakland Raiderettes embraced our cause worked the crowd and stood with us enthusiastically, despite the unusUally biting cold, and let us know that corporate america understands the need for collaboration with small young community based organizations, THANK YOU TO ALL DONORS WHO TURNED OUT AND GIFTED US WITH $3,368.00 -  from all of us at My Darling Theo, Thank You.

Pet Food. Pet Supplies and Face Value Coupons

Even though the country is slowly recovering from its economic list downward, communities in CA have been hard hit and need the assistance of businesses that understand "comunity giving". Realizing that My Darling Theo is not a shelter, but that our mission is to support shelters, rescues and low income individuals, Purina, Pedigree, Pet Food Express, Pet Club, and Yap Stores and Cloud Star, donated pet supplies for our redistribution to organizations who serve their communities by sheltering homeless families, homeless animals and domestic violence victims.

Shop for a our Cause

Individuals supported My Darling Theo when they shopped at Lucky Food Stores, Jamba Juice and Raleys - this helped to keep our mission going: education/ literacy/welfare/discussion - Thank you!

NON-PROFIT MONETARY MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT

In 2011, My Darling Theo supported with annual and or monthly monetary donations, these non-profit organizations, because of their continued dedication to provide an educational or historical or legal context to end abuse, neglect and violence to the voiceless.  ( *continuedsupport in 2012 )
