About Theo

Theo was adopted on February 8, 2003 ~ 4:30pm. He initially suffered from kennel cough but other wise maintained good health and good spirits during his life.  In 2009 doctors treated Theo for a "latent un-observed thyroid" condition over the course of a ~ year.  On April 22, 2010 Theo's health began to decline. April 23, 2010 Theo became fatally ill.  He was rushed to VCA Bay area Animal Hospital and later moved to PETS Referral where he was treated and euthanized ~5:15pm Sunday April 25, 2010 in Alyssia's arms due to organ failure.

Theo turned eleven February 10, 2010 - seven years after he was adopted from the City of Berkeley ( CA ) Animal Shelter. Theo was born a old spirit and died too young. My Darling Theo was founded to benefit the station of all animals - domestic, farm and wild, by forging a unique voice among the disparate chorus of animal welfare to include children and the environment, as My Darling Theo, pictured below, would have wanted.

If you have men who will exclude any of God’s creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.
